As you can tell, I haven’t been posting anything on this blog for a while. To be honest, I’ve lost my passion to continue, mainly because a group that motivated me to start this blog fell apart. You see, almost two years ago I started a youtube page because some friends of mine started a moombahton group. I noticed there were no moombahton blogs out, so I wanted to pioneer an online movement while also promoting my friends up and coming music.

As my youtube page began to expand, so did I; creating a soundcloud, twitter, facebook and acquiring moombahtonmusic.net. While building this blog, I also felt I contributed to the promotion of my friends music. Their success motivated me to continue blogging and searching for good music for those who listened. Through my friends, I’ve managed to meet so many new people and other artists in the genre. Every post or tweet that has come from my account has always been “we” or “us” or “our” because I felt the followers of this blog helped contribute to its success. But unfortunately the muse of my inspiration has fallen apart (and to add salt to the wound, it was not pretty).

Though I will not divulge anything further than what has been made public, I do find myself one-sided in the situation. The two former partners no longer associate, and the future of the group ceases to exist. My once motivation has also become the cause of my descent. So, with that being said, this will be my final post.

I truly enjoyed having this blog and experiencing the interactions from all of you. I’ve read every comment that was ever made, good and bad. All the tweets, emails, messages, were all worthwhile to me. But now, it’s on to other things. This video was the first post I ever made, and now, this post will be my last (for the fans):

Always refreshing to hear different artists go outside their norm and mess with Moombahton. Big Chocolate has brought some trap bangers like “Blue Milk“, while Candyland has produced some awesome electro house. We may be a little fashionably late to an update on a compilation that has found a home on Dim Mak records, but it doesn’t hurt to tell all of you who might not have gotten wind of this amazing download that you can get it for free. Yup, we said free. Before we give you the link lets talk a little about this amazing collaboration. Valentino Khan, the Moombahton savvy music producer from LA has received support from the likes of Diplo, Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis, Nadastrom, AC Slater, Munchi, and Alvin Risk. It would only be natural for him to hook up with Birmingham’s studio junky, Will Bailey. You may now him as Twocker, Bass Weazal, or just that awesome Dj that travels the world to deliver electrifying shows. Either way, Bailey and Valentino have become a perfect musical match for a Moombahton heaven. Eccentric and electric, the track they produced together makes us prepare for dance floor wars with their hands to the floor club demolishing beats. If the British vocals yelling, “MAYDAY”, through apocalyptic synths doesn’t get you hyped up, we know this free download will.

There’s a new guy around who goes by the name Kill Paris. He’s been making a slew of new music that, genre-wise, is all over the place. How awesome is that? There are not many artists nowadays that take risks and experiment with music across the board. So right off the bat, Kill Paris has our vote. His music does not disappoint either. This track especially (being 110bpm of course) sounds especially great. Love the harmony of this track, it’s great music just in general. Give it a listen, hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Apparently this track is on the rise in the Netherlands! Though we’re not entirely sure how true that is, mainly because we (the writers) are all based in NYC. But I know we have some fans from the Netherlands out there that can verify! How hot is this track?

Personally, even though we don’t understand it, we think the track is dope! Music has no language, let’s help push this track around the world!

We found this one trolling the internet. Don’t really know it’s origin, but regardless, it’s a pretty crazy track! Glad to see some big names like Kill The Noise and Feed Me are experimenting with Moombahton! Supposedly, according to rumors, this track will be featured on an upcoming new EP from Kill The Noise titled “Kill Kill Kill (part 2)”
